Berry Smoothie Healthy Energy Drink
Berry smoothies are easy to make and the ingredients are as close as your grocery store. First you need a good blender. All smoothies have a liquid base. The liquid is usually a juice like cranberry , orange or apple. You can also use acai, mangosteen or goji juice too. The last three are more expensive but have higher antioxidant power. If you use fresh fruit and want it cold you can use ice as the liquid although water is good it does not have the nutrients important to the body. If you are using frozen fruit you can put them in the blender frozen which also makes a cold smoothie. I personally use frozen berries and fruit for the convenience. However, I put the frozen fruit in a bowl and rinse them in hot water for easier mixing and a room temperature drink. Berry smoothies are primarily made with blueberries, blackberries and strawberries because they are readily available. You can of course substitute any berry such as raspberry, cranberries and others you desire. Lastly you may put protein powder and other nutrients into the smoothies such as flax seed or oil, herbal formulas and berry powders. See my super smoothie formula Steps To Make The Perfect Berry Smoothie 1. Put in liquid base first. Use pure juice when possible. One cup of juice equals one serving. 2. Add berries or other fruit. A banana is a serving plus it gives a little thicker consistency and is easier to drink. 3. This step depends on the blender. I use slow speed and run for about a minute or more. I like my smoothies to be runny similar to a thick juice. You may have to experiment once or twice with your own blender. 4. If you want it cold you can add ice cubes and blend some more. You have to have a strong motor in your blender to crush and grind ice. Check you instruction book. My Black and Blue Berry Smoothie Recipe • 1 cup fresh orange juice. (any juice to your taste. • 1 cup blueberries. Use wild blueberries if you can get them. • 1 banana • 1 cup blackberries • 2 to 4 large strawberries • Add supplements as desired.
Double, triple and quadruple for more people. Blend and drink. 4 1/2 servings of fruit. Add Super Fruit and Berries for three more servings.
Red and Blue Berry Smoothie Recipe • 1 cup fresh cranberry juice.(unsweetened) (any juice to your taste. • 1 cup blueberries. Use wild blueberries if you can get them. • 1 banana • 1 cup cranberries • Add supplements as desired. This smoothie is designed to help fight off urinary tract infections. If it is too tart add a sweetener not sugar. When it comes to healthy smoothies I only recommend using fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables. The reason I do this is I am what I call a near vegetarian. I do use things like un-denatured whey protein, ground flax seed and other assorted nuts and seeds. I also use whole food supplements with and without herbal ingredients. The whole food supplements have all been powdered using the latest scientific process so that the original nutrients are still there. They call the process fruit and vegetable essence. In all my vegetable drinks I use Super Fuel or Super Fuel Max. In the berry smoothies I use Super fruit and berries. These supplements add high nutrient value and low calories. A great way to insure optimal health while at the same time giving great strength to you immune system and to your organs.
