Eating Fruits On An Empty Stomach

Eating Fruits On An Empty Stomach means buying it, cutting it and just popping it into your mouth for the most part. However, there seems to be one way to eat fruit which is the most effective for our bodies.  It can be helpful to know how and when to eat your daily fruit servings.

What is the correct way of eating fruits? The best way is to eat fruit is on an empty stomach.  If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role in detoxifing your digestive system, supply you with a great deal of energy and help in weight loss. Food when eaten on an empty stomach allows for complete and rapid assimilation. The nutrients are absorbed quickly and go to work faster. When you add other solid foods like bread, meat even starchy vegetables it slows things down and the nutrients in the fruit do not absorb as well and more are eliminated rather than used.

Fruit is the best source for antioxidants which research has in the past few years shown to help slow the aging effect. The antioxidants neutralize the free radicals in all parts of our body and this helps to slow the aging process. Fruit eaten on an empty stomach can get antioxidants in to your system within an hour.

Also try to eat either organic fruit or sustainable grown fruit because their antioxidant content is much higher. You know the definition of organic but sustainable means they can only add fertilizer. Sustainable grown has even more antioxidants than organic fruit.

So eat your fruits on an empty stomach or one hour before a meal. You will also find that eating fruit in this way causes very little to no digestive problems. There will be no bloating or that overfull feeling.  You will also rarely experience heartburn when eating fruit. Fruits even citrus fruit is not acidic. Fruit turns alkaline when eaten no matter what people say. This has been shown in research by Dr. Herbert Shelton.

If you drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice. Do not drink canned fruit juice. Canned fruit juice is processed and heated which takes the nutrients out of the juice. Bottled or packaged 100% juice is great, heat is usually not involved.  Don't eat canned or cooked fruits because of the same reasons, no nutrients.  You only get the taste and bulk very little nutrition.

Eating whole fruit or smoothies from whole fruit is better than drinking  juice. The juicing process removes nutrients too but most important the fiber and the skin which is where a great deal of nutritional value is found.  A 3-day fruit fast is one of the best ways to give yourself a digestive system cleanse.  Just eat fruits and some fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised at how energetic you become and how radiant you look!
