Green Drink Recipe

A green drink recipe must include a variety of vegetables, herbs, sprouts, sea vegetables and grains. Negotiating over vegetables was a never ending drama at the dinner table when I was growing up and even later when I had children. Just one more bit and you can get down. You have to eat some of the peas and carrots, etc etc. And this negotiating is still in progress with my grand children.

Unfortunately, as you can tell the battle continues and most people don't grow out of this negative attitude toward fruits and vegetables. Studies show that the average American consumer eats less than three servings of fruits and vegetables a day. When compared to the recommended five to nine servings a day. You do the math we ain't getting enough. However a green drink taken daily can save the day.

If you can change your habits it will be worth it. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Agriculture and the National Academy of Sciences suggest that the nutritional goodness of fruits and vegetables, along with a diet that is low in fat, saturated fat and cholesterol, may decrease the risk of developing certain diseases.

To help their patients especially children and young people get the necessary nutrients, some doctors recommend "green drinks." These powdered drink mixes are a natural source of vitamins and minerals. To many people, however, some drinks have a strong, unbearable taste and an unpalatable texture. Ours has a very nice tropical flavor and goes down easily.

To get the health benefits found in green drink recipes without the unappetizing taste and texture, I of course recommend Super Fuel. With a combination of 90 nutrient dense ingredients, one scoop of Super Fuel provides the essential nutrients your body needs to enhance energy, support digestion and boost the immune system.
