Natural Minerals
Are Almost Non Existent
Supplements Are Needed

Natural minerals are becoming an American tragedy and mineral consumption including trace minerals is really nutritionally important. Many fruits and vegetables have less than 12 minerals out of the 70 plus needed. 100 years ago the minerals were present in our soil they no longer are there. Did you know that the flavor and nutrition in fruit, grains, and vegetables are based on the soil minerals available, not the amount or type of organic matter. If a needed mineral is missing, it is just that, missing, and no amount of organic matter will make up for it.

Without the proper amount of natural minerals and vitamins we do not have the proper composition of body fluids for the formation of bone, blood cells or maintenance of nerve function and the myriad of other body functions which go on every second of every day There are two groups of minerals, major minerals and trace minerals.

Most nutritional information breaks natural minerals into two groups major and Trace Minerals. It is presently thought that major minerals are needed in the diet in amounts of 100 milligrams (mg) or more each day.. The major minerals are calcium, phosphorus, mag¬nesium, sulfur, potassium, sodium, and chloride. We need the trace minerals in smaller amounts (less than 100 mg each day). Some trace minerals are iron, iodine, zinc, fluoride, selenium, copper, chromium, manganese, and molybdenum. There are actually 78 total minerals needed by the human body some health professionals state.

We seem to be functioning fine for the most part don’t we? However, almost all disease: cancer, heart disease, vascular disease, liver disease and kidney failure is increasing every year. The main reason for this is poor nutrition and it is the true silent killer. As we age poor nutrition is causing the pains, injuries and disease to start earlier. The older you get the harder it is to reverse and correct these challenges but it can be done. The earlier you start to improve your nutrition the longer and healthier you will live.

Here is a little known food mineral fact. Vitamin deficiencies lead to out of balance conditions and disease. But here is the kicker, it’s not commonly realized that vitamins control the bodies appropriation of minerals. and in the absence of minerals they have no function to perform. Lacking vitamins the system can use minerals, but lacking minerals, vitamins are useless. That is how important minerals are.

You would think a carrot is a carrot right? Wrong. One carrot can be much different than the next one. They may look like they are the same and even taste the same but one can be high in mineral content and the other have none at all. Laboratory tests have proven that fruits, vegetables, grains even eggs and milk do not contain near the minerals that were available in them just two generations ago. Sprayed on fertilizers and chemicals made in a factory are by no means as good as naturally occurring minerals.

The Total amount of minerals needed by the body is 78 Most of these are trace minerals which are needed by the body in minute amounts or less. They aid in the digestion process and provide the catalyst for many hormones, enzymes, and essential body functions and reactions. They aid in replacing electrolytes lost through heavy perspiration or diarrhea. Trace Minerals also protect against toxic reaction and heavy metal poisoning.

So what is the solution? There appears to be ways to overcome the missing minerals. The first is to eat organic when ever possible. Organic farmers rotate their crops and let fields stay fallow to help replenish the needed minerals. Another way to get all your minerals is to grow your own food where practical but for most people this is really impractical. The best way considering the way our society lives is to take high quality complex whole food source supplements with vitamins, minerals and condensed food and herbal nutrients added. To get trace minerals an additional natural mineral supplement may also be needed.
